Of course, "It's good to see the food" also applies to mass catering. Modernly designed company restaurants have long since served more than just to enhance and promote the company's image: an appealing appearance has also been proven to increase sales. Outdated menus - for example, in poster form or placed in light boxes - are therefore increasingly disappearing from company restaurants.

The solution in modern mass catering is digital signage systems: The display of meals via monitors. High-quality appearance, flexible menu displays, CI-compliant appearance and, last but not least, targeted demand management are significant advantages. They allow online and offline communication to be linked and become an important marketing tool.

More than a digital menu

The digital signage systems serve a holistic information exchange and inform the guests clearly and up-to-date about offered dishes, ingredients or prices. This allows products to be presented more professionally and demand to be managed in a targeted manner. The design of the content is created to match the color scheme, visual language and house font, and thus fits seamlessly into the CI of the respective company restaurant.
Thanks to the digital food display, customers can find their way around the restaurant more easily and grasp relevant information more quickly: Individual counters can thus be displayed in a more differentiated manner and found more quickly by the customer.
Digital signage systems are therefore more than just digital menus.

"Digital signage systems help customers find their way around the company restaurant and enhance it."

Tablets and electronic shelf labels for flexible use

In addition to permanently installed monitors, tablets or digital price and information signs, on the other hand, are suitable for flexible use in restaurants. Tablets can be used, for example, to display allergens or as a small menu for desserts.
Electronic shelf labels (ESL), on the other hand, are small digital price and information signs. They are characterized above all by their flexibility and particularly high durability. The modern e-ink display allows a clear presentation in black and white or black and white red. With a size of up to 6", the digital price and information signs also allow for more detailed information such as nutritional information, ingredients or allergens.

Simple control via KMS backend system

The central management of the entrance and output monitors, steles, tablets and electronic shelf labels is web-based via our backend system KMS. After on-site installation in existing or new gastronomic outlets, content can be entered, controlled and exchanged regardless of location and across sites. Based on stored templates and linked content, the output is automatically adapted. Short-term changes can thus be implemented quickly and easily.
Hardware with screen diagonals between 10" and 85" is available for digital food displays in the form of entrance and display monitors, touch steles or tablets; the electronic shelf labels are available between 1.5" and 6".

Conclusion: Digital food display creates a modern look and enhances the customer experience

With the introduction of a digital signage system, gastronomic concepts can be expanded and new customer experiences created. In addition to upgrading the company restaurant and the associated image enhancement, customers can find their way around more easily and be informed more quickly about changes in offerings. In addition, relevant information is communicated more attractively.
